Traveling by You

Have you ever had that idea of traveling alone? Yes, by yourself! Well, for some this is not a bad idea but for other people I guess would seem boring and not a good idea at all. Anyways, traveling actually depends on each one of us. It could be by individual, group, family, friends or as a couple. But since we are going to tackle about traveling alone then let me start this simple idea that you may want to reconsider.

How can one travel alone?

1. Try to know if not consider want to learn of self defense why? Well since you will be traveling alone you may not know when you are gonna use it. Visiting foreign lands that you are not familiar is something that you should be prepared of and this is just one of the precautionary method I am thinking you should try.

2. Try to do your homework and research. It is best to always know the destination or the country you are going. Learning and gaining for information about their culture, way of living, attitudes towards visitors or travelers does matter a lot!

3. If you have a rented place avoid and do not open your door to strangers that you hardly even know. Always take this as a warning!

4. Familiarize the people at the place where you are staying or the hotel you have checked in. Let the reception desk know you will be out and if you have come back. If possible give any emergency numbers of family members of friends.

5. Knowing your place. Being able to gather more information that you have stayed in a trsut worthy and good place will make your travel more meaningful and enjoyable. Avoid being in a risk area or place and look for a better place to stay.

6. Dress accordingly. It is always best not to attract the locals especially on how you look. Just wear something comfortable but not catchy that may lead to trouble.

7. Walk confidently. When a traveler or tourist shows confidence like even if it is your first time visiting the place but if you try to somehow act like you have been visiting the place for a lot of times may make locals think twice especially those that think differently of you as a tourist. It is always nice to speak with fellow travelers but of course always do not overdo things.

8. Limit yourself. Wherever we go it is not a question for many that drinking and socializing may be an inviting part of your travel but always know your limitations when enough is enough.

9. Try to visit and be a regular customer in a certain restaurant and get to know travelers that may suggest great spots that you are not aware you may visit. The staff in the cafe or restaurant may be of help as well of your sightseeing and suggests places to see.

Gay Travel is also fun and not a dangerous or fearful one only that their should be certain counter measures to do before you begin. There are a lot of gay friendly places and it is your tasks to do a proper check. Like a visit to a gay friendly Hawaii islands that is most often visited by LGBT folks.
